Combing his passions for data science and design, Jessie is an experienced interdisciplinary researcher
and applied machine learning expert. Jessie’s work has been recognized in numerous publications
including UC Berkeley Arts & Design Book, as well as IEEE and other scientific journals. As a
researcher and educator, Jessie has taught applied data science & cognitive science at UC Berkeley.
While at Berkeley he contributed to and led research projects at the Berkeley Institute for Data
Science, Jacobs Institute for Design Innovation, and the Berkeley Language & Cognition Lab, in
collaboration with the world's top experts in the fields of product design, cognitive science,
and data science. At Apple, Jessie worked on innovating how applied machine learning and design
can work together to produce elegant and meaningful products.
Jessie has years of experinece on the full spectrum of product design, research, and development: from the technical foundation
and strategic positioning, to the user experience, implementation, and art direction of the final
execution. Jessie straddles the theoretical gaps among interdisciplinary fields and applies his
extensive experience to make Maslow Labs a world class company that innovates the way machine
learning is applied to consumer software.
